WEBB, BAZIL MARION Bazil, 71, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2001 in San Diego, Calif.

He was born September 17, 1929, in Corbin Kentucky.

He was raised in Harlan, Kentucky and graduated from Harlan High School.

Following graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy and served 12 years on active duty. He was a Korean War veteran.

Marion pursued the banking and escrow field. He worked as a title officer and an escrow officer. He was an employee of Imperial Savings and Loan and also Home Federal Savings and Loan. He later pursued a broker's license for Real Estate.

Active in the community, Marion was a member of the Peace Officers Club of the Al Bahr Shrine. He is a past league administrator for the southwest League, Order of DeMolay; a Legion of Honor member, Order of DeMolay; and a member of the Guild of the Leather Apron, Order of DeMolay.

Marion was a retired San Diego Police Department Reserves Sergeant and an Honary Kentucky Colonel.

Active in his church, he served as an elder and chairman of the Board at Clairemont Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife Nancy of 46 years, his son Kenneth and wife Trene' of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and his daughter Patricia Johnson and husband Michael of Escondido, Ca. He is also survived by his brothers Rev. James Webb of Loganville, Georgia, Raymond Webb of Frankfort, Kentucky, Charles Webb of San Diego, Ca., and a sister Nell Jarvis of Lawrenceville, Georgia. Marion had 6 granddaughters as well as nephews and nieces.
