CAPTAIN BRENT L. WILLIAMS

SERVING SINCE 1993

Captain Williams is currently the commanding officer of the Crime Lab where he oversees a full service laboratory of over 100 employees, whom work in various scientific diciplines like biology, latent prints, crime scene processing, firearms, chemistry, forensic technology, trace, narcotics evidence storage and polygraph.

The SDPD crime lab is responsible for collecting and processing all evidene from major crime scenes from the entire city of San Diego.

The crime lab also completes forensic processing for its allied partners, Habor Police Department, San Diego City School Police Department and the San Diego Community College Police Department. 

Captain Williams  holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from California Lutheran University and a Master of Forensic Science degree from National University.
