Former Cosmopolis Police Chief Donald E. Lapacek of Aberdeen died Thursday, March 22, 2007, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was 69.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, in the Cosmopolis Fire Hall.

Cremation arrangements are by Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.
