THE THIN BLUE LINE

George M. O'Rourke of Chula Vista, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2008, in his home.

He was born in Toledo, Ohio to Richard and Connie Harppst O'Rourke.

George joined the U.S. Navy in 1976. He was stationed for a time in Italy with his cousin and sister who were also in the Navy.

After his return to the U.S., he moved to San Dieo where he joined the San Diego Police Department. He was with the SDPD for 20 years until his death and was proud to be serving his community.

He is survived by his father and two sisters, his wife and five children and a grandchild.

He was a member of the FOPA and the Fleet Reserve Association of Imperial Beach.
