The Rev. Larry J. Lamond, 67, died Nov. 14, 2007, at a Dover-Foxcroft Hospital. He was born Jan. 20, 1940, in Bethel, Conn., the son of Neil J. and Helene (Donovan) Lamond.

Larry had served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.  He earned a degree in criminal justice and worked for several years for the San Diego Police Department. Moving to Las Vegas, he worked for several casinos, before returning to Medford to care for his father and working as dispatcher
for the Maine State Police Department, Orono.

However, of all his many jobs, he found the greatest satisfaction in the ministry. After receiving a doctorate degree from Bangor Theological Seminary, he came to the United Universalist Unitarian Church, Sangerville,
to serve as minister in a vocation he felt was his true calling.

Larry is survived by a brother, Alan Lamond and his wife, Alison, of Turner; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Lamond of Speculator, N.Y.; two nephews, a niece, and a great- nephew. He will be sadly missed by many close friends, including Eric Lauritsen of Milo. He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Neil J. Lamond.
