Retired Sergeant Lowell B. Raper Jr., age 63, passed away on December 15, 2001.

He was appointed as an officer with the San Diego Police Department on October 12, 1960, and attained the rank of sergeant on August 8, 1966.  He retired on January 22, 1980.

Lowell Raper is survived by his mother Pauline Raper of Yorba Linda, sister Suzy Cotteen of Yorba Linda, daughters Kerri Buringrud of Escondido and Patti Dorion of Phoenix.
