Michael Alan Clippinger was born on December 30, 1963 in San Diego, California to Melvin and Annette Clippinger. He passed away on November 29, 2022.

Mike is survived by his father Melvin and a brother Kevin both of San Diego and his sons Darrell of North Carolina and Kyle and Daniel both from San Diego and 5 Grandchildren. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He loved riding dirt bikes in the desert with his sons, taking them fishing and many years of coaching baseball and football.

Mike worked as an installer for Integrated Signs of El Cajon before joining the San Diego Police Department on July 2, 1991. Mike worked various assignments while with the department. Mike was highly respected by his fellow officers.

Mike was injured on the job and had to retire from the police department on October 31, 2019. Mike will be greatly missed by his family and by the many people who had the privilege of knowing him.
