Dr. Midge Neff-LeClaire served the San Diego Police Historical Association as a Director I/Historian from 2000 - 2007.
Dr. LeClair was a 2003 Inductee to the San Diego County Women's Hall of fame. She has been nationally recognized for cultural and historical preservation with "Apparel Americana", a historical fashion show.
She was also a member of the Congress of History for many years.
Raised with both traditional notions of Women's place and her grandmother's Cherokee values, Neff-LeClaire's work has often been with those who are marginalized by, or omitted from, traditional institutional education and services: elderly, new immigrants, minorities, veterans, the working poor, and most of all, women.
