Patrick Henry Rose was born 17 March 1933 in Berkley, Mass and died 25 July 2022 in Ramona CA at 89 yrs. of age.

Patrick was the youngest of 8 sons born to Joseph Dutra Rose and Zona Peel Rose.

Pat spent his early years helping his brothers on the family farm in Berkley.

He learned how to box as a youth and in 1951 won the New England regional Golden Gloves middleweight championship. He moved to Southern California in 1952 and joined the Marine Corps. While stationed in Japan, he was a boxer for the Marines winning all 24 of his matches to attain the Far Eastern middleweight championship.

After returning to the States, Pat joined the San Diego police department where he worked for 29 years, retiring as Captain in 1984.

In 1979, Pat's first wife, Louise Bibeault, was killed in a tragic auto accident that also claimed the life of his mother, Zona Rose. Pat remarried LaRaine LeVan Morris on 14 May 1980, beginning 42-years of marriage together. Pat was the last of the 8 Rose Boys to pass away.
