Paul was diagnosed with liver disease in March. The disease caused internal bleeding which he had several operations to fix. Unfortunately, his liver had deteriorated to a point where nothing short of a transplant could save him. Since being diagnosed, Paul was a fighter. He had been in and out of the hospital to either correct the bleeding or mitigate the effects of a failing liver. As the disease progressed it was necessary for Paul to enter into a hospice care facility where he died peacefully.

Paul loved his adopted hometown of Prescott, Arizona and as a veteran (Coast Guard) will be interred at the Prescott National Cemetery. Tentatively, Paul’s service at the cemetery is scheduled for September 26, 2024.
