Officer Richard Valenzuela was hired by SDPD on October 19, 2007 and worked a variety of assignments during his 16 year career.

Prior to joining the San Diego Police Department, Richard served with the US Air Force.

Richard is married to Erica, a San Diego Community College police officer, and has a 2-year-old son.
