Rupert Stephen Rock, 80, of San Diego died March 17. He was born in San Diego. Mr. Rock was retired after working as an engineer, and belonged to the San Diego Yacht Club. He served in the Navy during World War II, attaining the rank of commander.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Rock; daughter, Dianne Goddard; son, Stephen Rock; brothers, Robert C. Rock and Lincoln G. Rock; and three grandchildren.
