Russell William Kullman, 85, of Union died July 26 at a local care center. A graveside service began at 10 this morning at the Union Cemetery with Norman Shrumm of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Loveland Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Kullman was born Oct. 2, 1916, to William and Stella Agnes Wiltse Kullman in Wall Lake, Iowa. He graduated from high school in Cherokee, Iowa, and attended Buena Vista College in Buena Vista, Iowa. He served in the Army Air Forces during World War II as a bombardier. He was a 32nd-degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner.

Survivors include a son, William L. Kullman of Union, and four grandchildren. Two grandchildren and a brother, Eugene "Hoot" Kullman, all died earlier.
