Scott D. Naliboff, 76, of Medina (Ohio), passed away Friday, December 2, 2022 after a lengthy illness.
He was born in San Diego, California on April 1, 1946, to the late Evelyn Naliboff-Londrum (nee Stewart) and the late Marvin Chamberlain.
Scott retired as a Sergeant from the San Diego Police Department after 37 and a half years of service. During that time, Scott received numerous Supervisor and Commanding Officer Exceptional Performance Commendations for his highly professional service in Narcotics, Burglary, Vice, and Child Abuse Investigations. Scott taught Police Report writing at the Police Academy, Junior College level and Supervisory level and wrote a manual on report writing that is still in use today.
Scott was a member of the Medina Fraternal Order of Police, and the Medina Coin Club. He enjoyed golfing, snow skiing, water skiing, boating, reading, and coloring in his spare time. He also enjoyed going to the Medina Senior Center.
Scott is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kathleen Naliboff (nee Sernka); his children, Douglas Naliboff and Staci Mays; grandchildren, David Naliboff, Jr., Zachary Naliboff, Alese, Evan, Isaiah, and River Mays; daughter-in-law, Sonia Herrera Naliboff, along with Ashley, Rosa, and Anthony Naliboff; his siblings, Margaret Polta, Bonnie Miller, and Frank Naliboff; his brothers-in-service at the San Diego Police Department, and all of his dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, David Naliboff, Sr.; parents, and his brother, Jack Naliboff.
