On Monday, December 27th our son Troy White went home to heaven. He was 53 years old.

Troy was a lifeguard with the San Diego Lifeguard Service for 8 years and was a decorated San Diego Police Officer for 20 years. He retired from the police department last summer. During his tenure with the police department, Troy also had a ‘side job’. He became an Authenticator for Major League Baseball and worked several seasons at Padres baseball games.

Although he was sick for a few years, Troy was was officially diagnosed with ALS this past January. He fought hard to overcome the effects of this disease until the very end.

Troy is survived by his parents Jerry White (Jennifer) and Sandi Alcantar, sister Kimberly Henrickson (Troy) and brother SDFD Engineer Cory White.
