Walter "Wally" Slusarczyk, 40, of Vancouver, Wash., formerly of San Diego, died Wednesday.

He was born in Chicago. Mr. Slusarczyk worked as a police officer in Gresham, Ore., and was formerly a San Diego police officer.

He was a graduate of Workman High School in West Covina, and had served in the Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Kim Slusarczyk; sons, Michael Slusarczyk of Korea and Timothy Slusarczyk of Troutdale, Ore.; stepdaughters, Sara Weitl of Troutdale, Ore., and Savannah Espinoza of Vancouver; stepson, Jesse Bennett of Vancouver; and brother, Tim Slusarczyk of Perris.
