Services for William J. Schenk, 75, of Golden Hill, were today in Greenwood Mortuary. Burial was in Greenwood Memorial Park.  He died Monday at his home.

Mr. Schenk was born in Texas and lived in the county 49 years.  He was a retired San Diego Police Department commander with 31 years' service.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel; a stepson, Chuck Schubert of Garden Grove; and seven sisters, Jadell Arnold, Ollie Muhleman, Nancy Munden and Betty Amick, all of La Mesa, Frances Reed of Texas, Doris Hydoski of New Jersey and Mary S. Murray of Georgia.
