Gilbert (Uncle Bud) Randall, 79, of San Diego, passed away at his home December 28, 2006.

Bud served the people of San Diego as a police officer for 24 years.

He also served as a U.S. Marshal Deputy from 1987 to 1993.

Bud served his country in the United States Navy and Navy Reserves for seven years.

He was awarded medals for the Asiatic-Pacific WWII Victory, Good Conduct, and Navy Occupation.

He remained an active member of the American Legion and VFW, and the San Diego Police Officers Association.

Bud enjoyed his friends and family. He and his wife traveled in the 90's to Mexico, Scotland, Italy, The Netherlands, England, and Germany. They hosted exchange students from Brazil, Brussels, Italy, and Sweden.

Bud was born in Effie, Minnesota. He celebrated 57 years of marriage to his beloved wife Mabel.

He was preceded in death by his son John (Nancy) and nine siblings. Mr. Randall is survived by his wife Mabel, sisters Laverne Welte and Buelah King, his daughter Kathy (Bill) Roehm, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
